MASQUERADE LIFE CASTING can be found annually in the Detroit Metropolitan area, in the Michigan Renaissance Festival's guest artist pavilion for the first weekend of the faire. In 2007 the Michigan Renaissance Festival starts on the weekend of August 18th & 19th, 2007. Ann Lyneah Curtis' Pre-Festival schedule brings her to Ann Arbor one week prior to the opening of this festival, she is available for private sittings. MAIN FAIRE IS Private appointments are available during the week at this time, and can be scheduled by contacting her at her temporary Maryland number: 410 XXX XXXX. ANN'S FINAL SHOW IS at the Armadillo Xmas Bazaar in Austin, Texas. Beginning in 2007 on December 13th, and open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM through December 24th. Private castings can be scheduled either in the mornings or immediately after Christmas, by contacting her at her temporary Austin phone number 512 XXX XXXX.
FACE CASTING WORKSHOPS are available through the Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram, Texas, 800 459 4223. This is an intensive two day workshop, in 2008 the workshop is on or around March 25th & 26th. The history of life casting is briefly presented, then the hands on process is begun. Two separate casting of the face will be done. One by fellow students, the second by Ann herself. Using these castings the students will create several masks, and a permanent work in ceramic is made. There is also a workshop presented at the Kerr Arts & Cultural Center, in Kerrville, TX, 830 895 2911 in mid-May. Again, this is an intensive two day workshop. Life casting history and the process are discussed. Two separate casting of the face will be done. One by fellow students, the second by Ann herself. Using these castings the students will create several masks, and a permanent work in ceramic is made.
