Give of Yourself this Christmas

Ann Lyneah Curtis is the artist behind Masquerade Life Casting and she thinks you should really give yourself to the ones your love this Christmas. Using a quick and easy medical grade plaster gauze bandage casting to capture the features, complete to eyebrow and eyelash, Ann then creates a work of art in white or terra cotta stoneware.

The initial face casting takes only 10 minutes, a double body cast only 25 minutes. Here is where Ann¹s artistic flair takes flight. A spray of sculpted roses to frame your face, or a mermaid body casting resplendent with sea shells. Let your imagination be your guide in creating a ³spirit² mask from personal imagery blended into a unique personal portrait.

There is no other form of portraiture that offers you the ability to capture family lineage in such a dramatic way. A life casting contains the essence of all that is you and can be treasured for it¹s timelessness for generations to come. Children as young as five are able to sit for the face casting.

Ann Lyneah Curtis and Masquerade Life Casting will be available for personal castings in Austin, Texas at her Christmas gallery in Austin, 3rd St and Nueces from 11 AM to 11 PM December 9th through 24th.

All of this takes place at the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar in the Austin Music Hall, 3rd St and Nueces..
